-It would be hard to say I'm the biggest McCarthy guy, as I'm sure the bracket is pretty deep, but if he's the conductor, then I'm on the train. I loved both the Passenger and Stella Maris, and they definitely shot up my year end list. I would encourage anyone with any interest to try them out. Pay the epithets no mind: there's a moral core to this pair, even if it is quite chewy. I'm still digesting the books myself. A hearty meal!

-Very excited to read both the Books of Jacob and Saint Sebastian's Abyss. I'm sure I'll pick up the Septology soon as well.

-Let me know when you start Song of Solomon! It's been on my shelf for some time, but an Evan's Newsletter bookclub would be just the thing to launch it to the top of my list.

-I'm so glad you loved Home! I struggle with superlatives , but I think it's in the running for my favorite of the four. Unfortunately, something went wrong when I read Lila, but it's hard to say whether I failed the book or the book failed me. I look forward to getting your impression, maybe I missed something there.

- To Lapvona, Olivia says, "vom."
